BeFriender Ministry

Have you ever felt that you had no one to talk to or share concerns with during difficult times?  Wouldn’t it be great to have ‘A Friend’ to share your thoughts and concerns with?  That’s what the BeFriender Program is about.  It’s not about counseling or performing tasks.  It is the ministry of being a listener, a companion, a friend – it does not take the place of family or friends.  BeFrienders are called to support and nurture those they befriend on life’s journey.  BeFrienders offer a nonjudgmental presence.  If you feel you have the gifts to serve as a BeFriender or would like more information, you are invited to leave your name in the red box at the Welcome Center in the Gathering Area and/or attend one of the following information meetings.  If you feel you could benefit from having a BeFriender, please contact Pastor Tom or Nancy at the church office.
