Worship & Music

As we hold on to our core Lutheran beliefs, we seek to prepare innovative and welcoming worship services that are filled with rich images, creating a fellowship of community, inviting participation to the fullest where those present can take with them an enriching, fulfilling experience of God's love and care.

Praise & Rejoice Choir

The Praise and Rejoice Choir, under the direction of Arlene Brandt-Jenson, sings two to three times per month for worship services, usually sining four-part choral music.  Practices are held in the Chapel Wednesday evenings at 7:30pm. Rehearsals begin with a brief devotional time. Although the choir works hard preparing selections to enhance the worship experience, rehearsals are also full of laughter and fun.  Christmas parties and end-of-the-year get-togethers in May allow choir members and their spouses an opportunity to get to know each other better while sharing potluck goodies.

Worship Team

LCOOR's Worship Team, under the direction of Greg DuBois, leads the congregation in singing contemporary hymns during the 8:30am, Sunday worship service.  Team members volunteer to share their God-given musical talents with LCOOR and, occasionally, other congregations. Rehearsals are Tuesday evening in the Sanctuary at 6:00pm.  These singers, keyboardists, guitarists, bass players and drummers are called to "hunker down" for the Lord.

Handbell Choir

The Handbell Choir, under the direction of Pat Crom, privides the beautiful sounds of two octaves of hand bells for worship services and other church-related events.  Practices are Wednesday evenings in the Sanctuary at 7:30pm. This choir has combined their sound with organ, flute, as well as other instruments.  The Handbell Choir members and their spouses also get together periodically for fun and fellowship.

Redeemer Ringers

This youth hand bell choir, known as the Redeemer Ringers, plays for worship services two to three times per year.  Under the direction of Christy Lickei, these 6th, 7th and 8th  grade ringers various times prior to playing for a worship service.  This practice schedule allows students and opportunity to fit Redeemer Ringers into their busy schedules.  Stay posted to the Calendar, Weekly Bulletins and Green Card Opportunity Board for upcoming opportunities.

Rainbow Ringers

This youth hand bell choir, known as the Rainbow Ringers, plays for worship services two to three times per year.  Under the direction of Beverly Splinter, these 3rd, 4th and 5th grade ringers rehearse various times prior to playing for a worship service.  Stay posted to the Calendar and Bulletins for upcoming opportunities.

Lenten Youth Worship Team
