Adult Ministries
Many educational opportunities are available for adults
here at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer. Bible studies
and small groups meet at various times throughout
the year which allow for discussion and relationship building.

Adult Bible Study
Bible studies take place various times throughout the year so stay tuned to our announcements and sign-ups at the Welcome Center for more information.
Men's Lunch
Bring your own lunch and meet up with a group of men on Wednesdays here at the church at 12:15pm. Join in on the Bible study/discussion and fellowship of each other every week or as your schedule allows.
Book Club
Gather on the 4th Thursday of the month at 10 a.m. in the Youth Room for discussion of a book chosen the previous month. Check the monthly newsletter for book details or contact the church office.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
Come together on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month to make these shawls. Completed prayer shawls, infant blankets and quilts are blessed on the last week of each month during worship services. Don’t know how to knit or crochet? This is a great place to learn!! Do you know of someone in need of a prayer shawl? Shawls are given to our own members and others in the community. Call the church office for more information.
Quilting
The quilters will meet the 1st and 3rd Thursday and the 3rd Friday every month at 9am. Knowing how to sew is not a necessity of being part of this group.
Sewing Ministry Group
Our sewing ministry group meets throughout the year to sew hospice gowns, diapers and more. Not a sewer? No problem! We welcome non-sewers to help iron and assemble kits. Please contact Pastor Laura Overbo or Nyla Bergan for more information.
Befriender Ministry
BeFrienders Are Available- Have you (or someone you know) gone through some major life changes? Do you have a great deal on your mind? Just need someone to listen? Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer has a wonderful group of trained BeFrienders who are here to help! They will listen with compassion, without giving advice and provide spiritual and emotional care. To learn more about visiting with a BeFriender, please contact Twila at the church office (605-886-2696).
Gather Circle Bible Study
Martha Circle meets the 2nd Monday of each month at 2:00pm in the Gathering Area. Priscilla Circle meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 9:30am in the Gathering Area.
Parent Center
If you’ve ever dropped your kids off for Church School or Confirmation and thought, “I’ve got 45 minutes before worship… now what?” Then LCOOR has a warm invitation for you: stay and relax or refresh yourself in the way that you need at that moment. You are welcome to spend time in fellowship in our Gathering Space while the kids are in class. On Sunday morning, grab a cup of coffee. On Wednesday nights, a custom refreshment cart will be available. Feel free to curl up on a couch to read or unwind. Staff and volunteers will be available to meet you and your needs during this time.
