Senior Pastor
Daniel Overbo
I was born in Devils Lake, North Dakota and grew up in Minnesota. We both graduated from Luther Seminary in 2003. We have found that we work best when serving together and enjoyed serving First Lutheran in Volga from 2007 to January 2023. We now live in Watertown and are parents to three boys. Kyan is 18, Easton is 16 and Micah is 14. We are excited to have to privilege to serve as pastors at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer.
Associate Pastor
Laura Overbo
I was born and raised in Clear Lake, South Dakota and graduated from Deuel High School. We both graduated from Luther Seminary in 2003. We have found that we work best when serving together and enjoyed serving First Lutheran in Volga from 2007 to January 2023. We now live in Watertown and are parents to three boys. Business Manager
Jodi Spilde
I moved to Watertown, from a ranch near Gettysburg, SD in the fall of 1998 and graduated from LATI in 2000 with an Applied Associates Degree in Banking and Finance. I began working as the Administrative Secretary at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer in April 2005 and on November 1, 2020 I switched over to the roll of Business Manager. My family includes husband Allan, step-sons Reilley & his wife Brianna and Fisher and our daughter Shelby. We love to spend time together outdoors. I also enjoy reading and crafting of any kind.
Director of Faith Formation
Philip Lickei
Philip has had the privilege of serving in outdoor and/or congregational ministry for over 30 years. Philip grew up in Lincoln, NE, and graduated from the University of Nebraska with a degree in Education and Park and Recreation Management. He enjoys watching baseball and football as well as playing fantasy baseball and football. Philip’s wife, Christy, is the Director at the Codington County Historical Society. They have three children, Eden, Ella & Axel, 2 dogs (Luther and Francis) and a cat (Arlo).
Welcoming & Caring Ministries
Twila Schmitt
A Watertown resident since 2013, Twila began her role as Welcoming & Caring Ministries Coordinator at LCOOR in 2017. She and her husband, Roger Whittle, enjoy watching the MN Twins, traveling and spending as much time as possible with their three perfect granddaughters! Zach Stanton
I grew up in Watertown and was baptized and confirmed here at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer. I currently attend Lake Area Technical College for CIS Networking and Cybersecurity. In my free time I enjoy longboarding and all things technology. I look forward to being apart of the team here at LCOOR.
Business Administrative Assistant
Megan Thyen
I grew up in Aberdeen and moved to Watertown in 2012 to attend LATI. After graduating in 2014 with a Associates Degree of Applied Science, my husband and I spent five years living and working in the Webster area. We moved back to Watertown in 2021 and welcomed a daughter in August 2022. My family includes my husband Ryan, daughter Rylee, and spoiled dog Moose. In our free time we enjoy traveling, camping, hiking, skiing, gardening and spending time with our family and friends.
Preschool Director & Teacher
Nikki Landmark
I graduated from NSU with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood. I taught Preschool for four years in Mitchell, SD and Lakeville, MN. I then moved back to my hometown of Sisseton, SD and taught for nine years at Westside Elementary. My family then moved to Watertown, where I had the opportunity to stay home with my three girls for the last five years. I love spending time with my family, hanging out at our lake cabin and watching MN Wild hockey.

Wendy Kruger
Wendy and her husband DeLyle are members of Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer. They have three children; Blake, Wyatt and Abby. If you are at the church on Wednesday evenings, you probably have seen her and her family as she has been teaching Wednesday Church School for several years and attends W.O.W. Worship. We are blessed to have Wendy be a part of the LCOOR Preschool.
Custodian
Roman Gainor
I grew up on a farm near Milnor, ND and graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead. In 1996, my wife Sheila and I moved from Fargo to Watertown where we raised our two daughters, Kelsey and Andrea. In 2023, I retired from handling insurance claims after a long career. I enjoy watching football, DIY building projects, and travel to the Gulf Coast.
